Explore The World With Just A Backpack

Being an avid traveller I love writing about my experiences and reading about what other travelers have gone through as well. The joy of travelling cannot be penned down in words and one has to experience it firsthand. Granted that there are several problems related to travelling and one has to be careful while dealing with the people we come across. Personally, I am not a big fan of the luxury travel option and prefer to back pack my way through a country. The real sights and sounds of a country can only be experienced on foot or on a motor bike. Travelling in an air conditioned car cut off from the world is not my style. Some of the most exotic places I’ve visited so far might not even be on anyone’s map. The following are a few countries I wish to visit in the future if I get the opportunity.

Mongolia

Mongolia is not usually on anyone’s travel bucket list. Contrary to popular belief there are plenty of things to do and see in Mongolia and the people are among the warmest. Recently, a friend of mine travelled there and his experiences sounded quite fascinating. The food, the horse racing, the pleasant climate and long lost treasure Genghis Khan make Mongolia my number one pick. The nomads of the steppe are a testament to the will of humans. They live in tents throughout the year and basically lead a nomadic life. Living with them is something I have long been looking forward to.

Sudan

Sudan has been ravaged by war for a long time and several conquerors have come and gone. Over the years the influence of Islam has significantly increased in the country and it might be a tricky place to travel for westerners. However, the Berber people who live in the edge of the Sahara are a race I wish to meet. They speak fluent French and are very welcoming. One can learn a host of survival techniques from them. (Just ask Bear Grylls)

Cambodia

Cambodia is one of the cheapest and lesser known travel destinations In South East Asia. The war torn land is picking itself up and tourism has increased in recent times. Cambodia has a rich cultural heritage and also boasts of some of the most ancient Pakodas and monuments in the region. Definitely worth the visit I would think.

How To Travel In A Tight Budget

Traveling has always been the best way to beat stress and anxiety, but travelling to various destinations is an expensive affair. You need to keep an eye on your expenditure. You just cannot exceed your budget as it will badly effect your saving. Whether you are a low earner or high, you just want budget travel. To keep things in mind, here are some budget travel ideas.

The first and foremost thing is to decide the destination where you can travel easily without booking a taxi.In the travelling part, booking taxi is an expensive affair. You just cannot deny the fact that you spend almost half of your decided expenditure in tax fairs. Choose the destination that has tourist attractions are connected to each other.

The second thing is booking of your flight. It has always been suggested to book the flight a month earlier. If you are booking instantly or booking a week or a day before heading, you need to pay the same amount the booking is. If you book a month before, you can get at least 20% discount on air fare. If you have credit card, it’s good to book your flight from the credit card. Travel credit cards get money back rewards.

Book the hotel online! It’s a very bad idea to book the hotel after you reach the destination. In this case, it may possible that you are unable to get your favorable deal. Booking from online gives you an opportunity to expand your searches. No wonder that within an hour, you will able to book a hotel that is affordable and offers some discounts on meal.

Go for the travel package! It’s an ultimate idea. Once you decide your budget, go to the travel packages. If you are going to a popular destination, getting the favorable package is easier, otherwise it may hard. Choose the travel package that is 20% below of your budget as the package wouldn’t offer 3 times meal and the 20% of your budget will, of course, spend on meal.
